It’s More Than an Office Gym
Our goal is simple. We want to help people move more and sit less. To get up from their desks or workspaces and recognize the value of an active lifestyle.
Why is corporate fitness so important? People are more sedentary than ever. Over a third of adults in the U.S. are overweight and engage in no physical activity. Studies have shown that increasing the amount of time people move – even just a little – can have huge health benefits. It’s affecting health. It’s affecting productivity. And of course, it’s affecting your bottom line.
Inspire a culture of movement — one step at a time.
At the workplace and beyond, we improve health by helping people move more and sit less. Premise Health corporate fitness programs focus on real behavior change to reach all of your employees, regardless of their activity level.
Promote a Healthy Culture
The more we move, the better we feel. And the better we feel, the more healthy choices we make. Employees who feel supported in their efforts to eat healthy and exercise regularly are more likely to stick with it. As a result, there are personal health benefits for them and productivity benefits for you as their employer.
Good health is its own reward, but it can drive change in other areas as well. For instance, healthier people take fewer sick days, are less tired, and are more productive at work. Therefore, it’s in the best interests of both employer and employee to foster an environment where corporate health and wellness are priorities.
There is no better, more natural way to fight stress than to exercise, which has been found to reduce stress hormones and release endorphins. Furthermore, evidence suggests that physically active people have lower rates of anxiety and depression than sedentary people. One more reason to get your employees moving!
Inspiring movement for over 35 years.
More than ever, smart companies are recognizing the role workplace fitness can play in building a healthy, productive workforce. It's a value that's at the heart of everything we do here at Premise Health.Get Moving!
Move more, sit less
Too little physical activity is the leading cause of death and a major risk factor for chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Additionally, lack of physical activity is responsible for approximately five million deaths worldwide. Sedentary behavior during the workday, coupled with the stress of meeting deadlines, lack of sleep, and grab-and-go food choices are common obstacles to leading a healthier lifestyle. As a result, the medical community is uniting with the fitness community to address this alarming trend and work together to create change through corporate fitness centers.
Benefits of a corporate fitness center
Corporate fitness centers located within the workplace can be the jump-start employees need to change the way they think about exercise. It’s not a burden – it’s an opportunity. A benefit. A perk. They see and interact with the fitness staff each day because they work in the same building. As a result, they build relationships centered around how they can help them lead a healthier life. Then their coaches help them monitor their progress and celebrate their success. Finally, when they start seeing results, they can feel good about themselves for their hard work, and about their employer who made it all possible.
Eliminate the barriers to increasing movement
We’re all pressed for time. However, having an on site fitness center eliminates the need to add a stop at the gym to your commute. Furthermore, once we’re out of the office building, we’re mentally in our yoga pants on the couch. With no intention of doing yoga. Premise Health has designed our corporate wellness programs with options for fitness center members and non-members to add physical activity into their day. We create options for your employees to move more without feeling like they’re “working out.” As a result, we can help all your employees, no matter their comfort level, to become more active.
Our goal at Tufts Health Plan is to touch every employee through at least one of our wellness programs, and Premise Health makes this happen. From recreational leagues, to group classes, to fun and competitive programs, the team creates a fun and engaging experience for our employees and fitness center members. Premise Health plays an important role in making Tufts Health Plan a great place to work.Kristine Martel
How We Do Corporate Wellness Programs Differently
We make it easy to track the program’s impact through utilization and outcomes reporting. This gives you the ability to continuously tweak your program, so we can help every employee set, progress, and meet realistic physical activity goals.
Customized Wellness Programs
We look at your entire population and develop inclusive programs that support increasing physical activity for local and remote employees. We regularly evaluate and modify our approach to engage participants of all skill levels, taking into consideration their activity levels and readiness to change.
Whether you already have an onsite health center or are considering one, integrating a fitness center provides unmatched value for employees who need it most. Guided by clinician oversight, the health and fitness centers work collaboratively to produce optimum results.
Individualized Consultation and Instruction
One-on-one sessions with fitness professionals help uncover employees’ physical activity needs. Then, they are able to focus on realistic goals and activities they can do at the onsite fitness center or anywhere they feel comfortable.
Fitness center management
Our team of degreed fitness professionals with specialized training and active certifications have the knowledge and tools to get people moving.
