Premise Health’s Chief Medical Officer Weighs In On Vaccine Hesitancy
All adults are eligible to receive the vaccine on April 19, but those with vaccine hesitancy will likely not be lining up, which remains a concern in the fight against COVID-19. “Communication and education go a long way,” said Dr. Jonathan Leizman, chief medical officer at Premise Health regarding those on the fence in getting the vaccine. He mentioned there’s more real-world data coming in to show vaccines are safe, effective and free to anyone regardless of health insurance, which also may help in the decision.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) continues to update its guidelines to include those who are now fully vaccinated which now changes how they can live their daily lives, allowing for indoor social gatherings with others who are also fully vaccinated without wearing masks.
