Premise Health Receives Silver Veteran Ready Business Award from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Services

Last month, CEO Stu Clark and Military Program Manager Matt Watkins accepted the Silver Level Veteran Ready Business award from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Services (TDVS) on behalf of Premise Health. The Veteran Ready Business award distinguishes organizations in the state of Tennessee for their efforts to recruit, hire, and retain veterans, service members, and their families.

“Our country owes veterans and their families a tremendous amount of gratitude for their dedication in keeping us safe,” said Premise Health CHRO Liz Reimer. “At Premise, it’s important to us that we repay that service with the continued advocacy, training, and resources that these highly skilled, motivated individuals deserve.”

Established in July of 2024 by TDVS and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, the award signifies businesses’ level of commitment to the Veteran community with a three-tier system: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Premise and other organizations receiving the award at the Silver Level are recognized not just for their hiring effort but active engagement in the career development and growth of the military community through targeted programs, opportunities for mentorship and leadership, and creation of career paths for specialized skills and experiences.

“Being recognized as a Silver Level Veteran Ready Business by the state of Tennessee is a great honor,” said Matt Watkins. “It reinforces Premise’s dedication to supporting our military community here at home and across the nation.”

Premise has previously been recognized as veteran employer of choice by local and national veteran-centered organizations such as the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center, VETS Indexes, Military Friendly, and Military Times. This past year, Premise received over 4,600 applications from veterans and military spouses. Within the organization, nearly 1 in 14 of Premise’s 6,000 team members are military affiliated.
