Premise Health Leader Nominated as an Outstanding Healthcare Professional

Premise Health Vice President of Health Equity & Medical Informatics, Maria Romano MSN, NP-C, was named a finalist for the 2024 Equitable Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Awards in the Outstanding Healthcare Professional category.

This designation, presented by Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, honored outstanding professional women who make a difference each day, achieve excellence in their pursuits, contribute to the greater good, and serve as role models for others. The awards ceremony took place on March 8, 2024, also recognizing International Women’s Day. 

Nominees for Businesswomen of the Year Awards were selected based on a variety of factors including a woman who excels in her field, gives back to the community, and serves as an inspiration to others. Award categories included Entrepreneur, Corporate Leader, Philanthropy, Public Servant/Non-Profit, Restaurateur/Retailer, Health Care Professional, Global Business Leader, Real Estate Professional, and Hospitality.  

As a dedicated team member at Premise for over 13 years, Romano is actively involved in our Women’s Team Member Resource Group, serves as a mentor for aspiring leaders, and actively fosters a supportive environment allowing others to feel valued and empowered.
