The Benefit of Hospital Partnerships

It may seem as though onsite health clinics are a natural competitor to local hospitals and physicians, but as Premise Health CEO Stuart Clark said in an article with Becker’s Hospital Review, there’s actually a lot of room for partnership.

“I think the forward-looking hospitals and health systems will choose to see our presence as an opportunity,” says Mr. Clark.

For example, the Premise Health team worked with Coushatta Casino Resort to establish a relationship with local physicians and hospitals that agreed to accept patients who needed specialty or inpatient care. For those patients who have already been diagnosed at the Premise Health clinic, they benefit by not having to endure — or pay for — repeated tests and office visits with other providers before receiving inpatient care.
