Premise Clinical Pharmacist Kathy Doane Elected as National Director of the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists for 2025

Kathy Doane headshotPremise clinical pharmacist Kathy Doane, PharmD, RDN, BC-ADM, CDCES, DipACLM, has been elected to the national board of directors for the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) 

Along with other national leaders, Doane will serve a three-year term beginning in January of 2025 and work closely with ADCES leadership to serve the organization’s members and play a pivotal role in realizing its 2024-2028 strategic plan 

“I’m honored to have been elected to the ADCES Board of Directors,” said Doane. “In my time at Premise, I’ve immersed myself in our lifestyle medicine approach to diabetic care. I’m looking forward to sharing that experience with my fellow board members to further the strategic goals of the ADCES in increasing access to care, advancing research, and promoting greater education to improve the lives of those who are affected by this chronic illness.”  

The ADCES is a professional membership organization of more than 12,000 professional members, including nurses, dieticians, and pharmacists, dedicated to the improvement of prediabetic, diabetic, and cardiometabolic care through innovative education, management and support. 

Doane is a clinical pharmacist at the Wiggins Family Medical Center and Pharmacy in Carrollton, Georgia. In the past, Doane has served on a number ADCES leadership committees in addition to her work as an active volunteer and leader within the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
