Dot Foods Celebrates Opening of Ninth Health Center in Williamsport, Maryland
Dot’s Maryland distribution center is the company’s largest operation outside of its headquarters in Mt. Sterling, IL. The new Family Health Center will serve approximately 600 employees covered by the Dot Health plan and their dependents, starting at age 2. The 1,700 square-foot facility includes two exam rooms, a lab, and office space.
The center will provide a wide variety of healthcare services under Premise’s patient-centered, medical home model, including primary care and pediatrics, condition management, occupational health services, Care Consult through Connected Care+, acupuncture, and women’s health. Dot Foods employees and their families are able to use the health center as their primary care provider to receive annual physicals, preventive screenings, wellness screenings, CDL certifications, lab work, flu vaccines, and generic prescriptions at high convenience and little to no cost.
“We want our employees and their loved ones to have healthy, fulfilled lives,” explained Mandi Clark, Dot’s vice president of human resources. “We’re a family business. And from day one, our co-founders Robert and Dorothy Tracy made it a point to treat their employees like family. Our best-in-class benefits package is one of the ways we do that. We added our first onsite healthcare facility in 2013 at our Georgia distribution center, and over the last decade we’ve seen the positive impact these facilities have on our employees and their families. We’re excited to be opening our ninth clinic here at our Williamsport location today.”
The new Dot Foods Family Health Center is located at 16205 Elliott Parkway, Williamsport, MD 21795. Dot Foods and Premise Health first partnered in 2013 to build Dot’s initial Family Health Center at its Georgia distribution center and have subsequently built facilities in Idaho, Indiana, Oklahoma, California, Arizona, and Dyersburg, TN. Dot plans to establish clinics at all its U.S. locations by 2025.
