American Airlines Plans Airport-Based COVID-19 Vaccination Rollout
American Airlines announced last week that it plans to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to pilots and other employees through its healthcare partner, Premise Health. Vaccines will be delivered to employees by appointment at its Premise Health wellness centers at airport hubs, though exact details of distribution are still underway.
Premise plans to broadly participate in COVID-19 vaccination programs and will continue to engage with governmental bodies, industry organizations, distribution channels, and clients to procure and administer a COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with federal, state, and manufacturer guidelines. As a healthcare partner for American Airlines, Premise has already partnered with the appropriate medical agencies and public health departments to access the vaccine as soon as available.
Vaccines could be ready for American Airlines Chicago-based staff as soon as mid-February.
