#PremiseCares: Behavioral health therapists help members cope with the stress of COVID-19
In light of the coronavirus, many people have been experiencing heightened feelings of worry, fear, and anxiety. The uncertainty of future events has taken a toll on many members’ emotional wellbeing and the stress can sometimes impede their ability to cope with daily activities.
One member scheduled a virtual appointment with a Premise behavioral health therapist to express how his level of stress surrounding COVID-19 was making it impossible for him to leave home or go about his daily work routine. The provider has been working consistently with the member for the past few weeks to provide effective coping tools and an environment where he can freely express his concerns.
After his most recent visit, the member reported that he is now comfortable venturing outdoors without the worry of becoming ill, and he is taking regular walks to reduce stress. The ability to provide effective and consistent care is of the utmost importance in maintaining member’s health and safety. Thanks to all our behavioral health therapists for helping our members through the challenging time.
