Veteran Careers at Premise

We’re honored to work alongside our highly trained, highly motivated veteran and military spouse team members. With backgrounds working in mission-driven cultures and a deep understanding of teamwork, we view this community as a premium resource for talent.

Serving those who served for us.

As soon as a veteran team member joins Premise, they have access to countless resources to support them throughout their career. Our dedicated military program manager is a veteran and trusted resource, and the veteran and military spouse team member resource group provides a consistent space to connect with other veteran team members spread across the country. Providing anonymous feedback is easy through our ombudsman program, which ensures we can make strategic changes to support these team members to the fullest.

An award-winning commitment.

When it comes to supporting veterans and military spouses, we’re the industry leader.

Supporting military spouses.

While they may not wear a uniform, military families are serving our country, too. That’s why military spouses at Premise also have access to all our veteran support programs. We know military life can require relocating at a moment’s notice. With health centers in 46 states, our teams are happy to be flexible and help spouses find a new opportunity within Premise. Even with a move across the country, access to high-quality healthcare will never be too far away with our 24/7 virtual health and prescription delivery benefits.

What is the Premise military community saying?

Premise Health is a company that embodies many of the qualities that were pivotal to my success while serving in the U.S. Navy and with the U.S. Marine Corps: teamwork, dedication to the mission, recognition of excellence, and outstanding leadership. Premise sees the value that veterans bring to the table each and every day, and we see the value that the company provides to those we serve, to us, and to our fellow team members. I am proud to be a part of this company and look forward to continuing to execute our mission of helping people get, stay, and be well.

– Michael Price, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps

As a Coast Guard officer, I have had unique opportunities to serve my country by conducting traditional Coast Guard missions at sea, responding to the devastating aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and most recently as a Coast Guard representative to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I am so grateful to be able to continue to serve as a Reservist while balancing my civilian career with Premise Health!

– Allison Dussault, APRN, Coast Guard Reservist

Premise leadership has been phenomenal at providing flexible work arrangements, including quick changes, to allow a feeling of safety in my job while caring for my husband and family. To know that I have the backing of leadership and mental safety of job protection to adjust and adapt goes a long way in my fulfillment and dependability as an employee.

– Aurora Slusher, MPA, Director of Client Operations

In my 20 years of recruiting experience, I have never worked for a company that is more attentive to their employees’ professional and personal lives. Leadership listens and truly wants to create a work environment that pulls from the experience and ideas of their team members. The teamwork and collaboration I have with my co-workers reminds me of some of the greatest squadrons I worked for while serving my country in the U.S. Air Force.

– Rick Pitts, U.S. Air Force

I began as an intern with Premise Health, transitioning from a military healthcare role with the U.S. Army. What intrigued me was the incredible satisfaction rate of their team members and patients, but what kept me here was the culture. The values of this organization are closely aligned with those of the military, emphasizing integrity, commitment, and excellence. Premise’s dedication to welcoming and supporting military team members is unparalleled, providing veterans with the resources and opportunities to thrive in their civilian careers. This alignment matched with Premise’s innovative approach to patient care empowers me to truly make an impact every day!

– Brian Vestal, U.S. Army

Premise has given me a sense of community and continuity. I’ve had to change jobs a lot due to military relocations, but with Premise, I feel comfortable knowing I won’t have to find a new job because of our many locations throughout the U.S. I have learned what it feels like to work for a company that truly sees you and values the skills you bring to the table. They are understanding of my life outside of work, and there are not many companies who truly understand that.

– Alyssa Roberts, LPN

Hiring our heroes.

Every year, we set goals for our veteran and military spouse recruiting efforts. We reach military communities across the country by participating in career fairs, networking events, and conferences. Premise also proudly participates in the Hiring Our Heroes 12-week cohort program, which allows members of the military community to work for an organization and develop skills, while preparing to transition into the workforce. Through our participation in the program, we’ve hired numerous Hiring Our Heroes participants at the conclusion of their cohort.

Building community.

Strengthening our ties to the external community is just as important as creating a strong internal community of veterans and military spouses. Premise has partnerships with many leading organizations, and we’re proud to participate in their hiring and networking events to share more about our program and offer support to this valuable community.

We welcome veterans and military spouses.

“The veteran and military spouse community is often well trained, takes pride in their work, and appreciates a mission-driven culture. At Premise, 1 in 15 team members are from the military community, and we are better because of them. And, we deeply appreciate their service to our country.”
